Butler Nature Preserve, Cooling's Meadow and Woodland Nature Preserve.
Butler Nature Preserve is 40 acres of wetlands and open space located on the west side of Maple Avenue, north of the Union Pacific Railroad line. Access to the preserve is by street parking on Maple Avenue.
Cooling's Meadow, which is part of the Waukesha County Park System, is 14 acres of wetland containing native flora of shallow marsh, fresh (wet) meadow and sedge meadow communities located on Waukesha Avenue north of the Bugline Trail. The natural area was a gift of Keryl Cooling and is dedicated to Milo Cooling. Access to the meadow is by street parking on Waukesha Avenue.
Woodland Nature Preserve is 71 acres of wetlands and open space located on the north side of Good Hope Road, east of the Canadian National Railroad. Access to the preserve is by street parking on Good Hope Road.
